This pandemic has shaken our world to its core, constantly challenging us in many ways, both as individuals and as a community. The overwhelming effects of this global crisis may seem insurmountable, yet a whisper of hope persists and continues to grow stronger, letting us know this crisis is not impossible to recover from.

ICELAND TRAVEL GUIDE: THE PERFECT WINTER ITINERARY

If there's a country that's currently trending on everyone's bucket list right now, it's Iceland. One of the most interesting countries I've even been to, Iceland is by far, the best country I have ever set foot on. This country is more than just the Northern Lights, and if your purpose is only that, then you're going to miss out on so much.

APO ISLAND, DUMAGUETE & OSLOB, CEBU IN 1 DAY

With limited time in Dumaguete, I pushed my parents to go with me to Oslob and Apo Island on the same day. Take note, Oslob is an hour and thirty minutes boat ride away from Dumaguete (that would take 3 hours for a roundtrip ticket). But I knew I wanted to go to both, so instead of listening to the receptionist at the hotel saying that it's an impossible ordeal, I took my chances. And I promise you, it did not disappoint.

WHY YOU SHOULD BOOK A CRUISE ON YOUR NEXT VACATION (Hint: It's NOT BORING)

This year marks my third time to go on a cruise with my family. We have done a 7-day Mediterranean cruise back in 2013, a 10-day Adriatic Sea and the Greek Isles cruise back in 2016 and this year, on our very first trip to the Caribbean, a 7-day Caribbean Cruise. And while going on a cruise is a regular thing for Americans who enjoy frolicking under the sun, it has always been dubbed as a boring, claustrophobic and time-consuming activity for most Filipinos. So here I debunk that theory that going on a cruise is boring.

VENICE TRAVEL GUIDE: EXPLORING THE ISLANDS OF MURANO, BURANO AND TORCELLO IN ONE DAY

On my first trip to Venice, I never knew that going around the different islands nearby would be such a treat! I finally learned how Murano glass is made, how beautiful Burano Island is and how the Roman empire made its way to Torcello.

CUBA TRAVEL GUIDE: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT TRAVELLING TO CUBA (how to travel to Cuba, how to get a Cuban visa, itinerary, where to stay and more!)

Cuba has always been one of the countries that has always sparked my curiosity. So when my family and I decided to spend the summer in the Caribbean, we definitely included Cuba in the list! Going around Havana is fairly easy, but if you want to see the Cuban countryside, that's where you have to make sure that everything is planned for. Not only that, you need to make sure you have your Cuban visa with you, regardless if you're American or not, because it's a must to go to this country.

TRAVEL IN STYLE WITH NAILS BY INCOCO

You have probably heard of the big names that has brought color to the nail industry for such a long time - Orly, Sally Hansen and even CoverGirl. And while these are easy to apply and could come in different colors, applying them can be very time-consuming. You need to sit down and carefully apply them. Not only that, the number of times that these are applied, the more you bring damage to your nails. As such, it is nice to finally find a different kind of nail polish or should I say, a nail polish applique with the name INCOCO. It's 100% nail polish, with no drying time and you come out with salon quality manicure! It's perfect for people who are constantly on the go, and if you're like me who is an avid traveller, the time spent putting on these nail appliques can be very helpful! No need to run around the world with bare nails.

WHY YOU NEED TO WEAR PASTEL COLORED OUTFITS FOR YOUR NEXT ADVENTURE

If there was only one color in the world, I'd pick powder blue. I've always had people say that wearing pastel colors present a conservative and demure look. Well, I beg to disagree. I'd say, wearing pastel colors actually show a powerful look!

GAPYEONG DAY TOUR (NAMI ISLAND, PETITE FRANCE, GARDEN OF MORNING CALM)

On our second day in Korea, we took the train to Gapyeong. It was my first time to visit this area as most of the sites we covered during my first trip to Korea was mainly only around Seoul. I was really excited to visit Nami Island, Petite France and the Garden of Morning Calm.

SPRING SEASON IN SEOUL

Ah, the smell of cherry blossoms left and right, the sight of pastel colors here and there - that basically explains my love for the spring season. After days of walking under 32 degrees of sunshine in Manila, I finally got my own share of aircon weather after flying off to Seoul.

TRAVEL GUIDE TO MALANGAAN CAVE

Hi! It's been a month since my last entry, mainly because I was bombarded by exams and projects in medical school. But now that I have set some time to blog, I will share my recent experience at Malangaan Cave in San Rafael, Bulacan. Roughly 2 hours away from Manila, this is a great attraction to visit. It's the perfect place you can go to if you ask yourself the question, "Where will my 350 pesos take me?"

A WEEKEND IN LULJETTA HANGING GARDENS & SPA

I am currently writing this post at a speed where turtles can beat me at any time - that's because I am spending my Valentine's Day stuck with my Medicine 1 book trying to understand how to do a good pulmonary examination (while most of you are probably out on a date, inhaling the smell of roses at every corner of your view).

The oldest district in Manila, Intramuros has some of the most beautiful architectures that date back to the Spanish Colonial Period in the Philippines. Plus, it's my birthday today, so I am doing a birthday giveaway to all of my readers!

CORFU: MORE THAN JUST AN ISLAND IN GREECE

I've been meaning to write about Corfu ever since, especially since it's usually set apart from its more popular counterparts of Santorini and Mykonos. The second largest island in the Ionian Sea, Corfu has its own share of attractions and activities. It is home to a number of beautiful beaches, gorges, mountains valleys and even active volcanoes.

LAKE APO: AN ISOLATED BEAUTY IN BUKIDNON FOR LESS THAN 500 PESOS

Tucked away in an isolated area in Valencia, Bukidnon, Lake Apo remains one of the best kept secrets of the town. It is my second time here but up until now, the locals have said that the number of visitors each year has remained stagnant. Situated in Sitio Lawa, Barangay Guinoyoran, Lake Apo has maintained its scenic views of the crater lake which mirrors the nearby hillside landscapes.

COLORS OF VENICE

How do I even begin to describe Venice? Aside from the endless views of the Grand canal and the number of gondola rides that pass by, it's as if you're walking inside a real-life watercolor painting.

A 2-DAY WEEKEND ITINERARY IN SIQUIJOR

I have heard stories about Siquijor, not about its pristine beaches and waterfalls, but mostly about the advent of witchcraft and voodoo. Dubbed as the "Land of Barang", Siquijor attracts a lesser amount of tourists than the other nearby islands of Visayas. However, with its unparalleled scenery and coastal charm, Siquijor should be at the top of your list of must-see islands in the Philippines, my home country.
